Quantum Iron EDTA Chelate

A concentrated micronutrient fertilizer containing iron in chelated form (EDTA). It is used to fertilize crops sensitive to iron deficiency (vegetables, fruit trees, grapes, conifers, lawn grasses, and others). Thanks to its chelated form, the product is readily absorbed by plants.

Chemical Composition and Properties Action, Effect, Benefits Vegetable Crops Fruit and Berry Crops Features.
  • Fe – 6.5% (65 g/L)
  • pH – 6.5–8.8
  • Density – 1.28–1.35 kg/L

A highly effective product for preventing and treating chlorosis (iron deficiency).

After application:

  • photosynthesis is stimulated;
  • chlorosis is eliminated;
  • disease resistance is increased;
  • treated plants have a rich green leaf color;
  • immunity is strengthened to overcome the effects of adverse growing conditions.

The role of iron (Fe) in plant nutrition:

  • It acts as an oxygen transporter in respiration and photosynthesis;
  • It activates biochemical processes, such as protein synthesis and the functioning of respiratory enzyme systems;
  • It is a component of many enzymes involved in energy transfer, nitrogen reduction, and lignin formation;
  • is an important component of the nitrogenase enzyme, which influences nitrogen fixation in nitrogen-fixing plants.

Application Guidelines

In cases of iron deficiency (particularly based on visual or laboratory diagnostic results), repeated applications at 7–10-day intervals are recommended for all crops, especially fruit, berry, and vegetable crops.

Spraying

When applying foliar fertilizer, the application rate of the working solution is:

  • for vegetable crops – 200–400 L/ha;
  • for grapes and fruit crops – 500–1,000 L/ha.

Applications are performed using standard sprayers. The working solution is prepared immediately before application. Fill the tank 2/3 full with water and, while stirring, add the components one at a time, waiting until the previous component is thoroughly mixed in. Spraying should be done in the morning or evening. The optimal air temperature is 10–25°C, with wind speeds up to 5 m/s.

Precautions

Treatment is not recommended under conditions of low or high air temperatures, intense sunlight, or strong winds.

Fertigation with Drip Irrigation

The product is effective for fertigation of plants under drip irrigation. Concentration for fertigation: 100 ml per 1 cubic meter of water.

Compatibility with Other Agrochemicals

“Quantum Iron (Fe) EDTA Chelate” may be applied in combination with plant protection products and other fertilizers; however, it is not recommended to combine fertilization with herbicide application during the early stages of plant development. It is recommended to check the compatibility of the products before mixing: a test solution should not form a precipitate. Slight cloudiness is acceptable.

Soil application (IN-FURROW® technology).

Quantum Iron (Fe) EDTA Chelate can be applied in combination with Quantum Diafan liquid starter fertilizers at a rate of 1–3 L/ha.
